Aim
The course is a hyperMILL CADCAM course aimed at operators and setters looking to acquire new and upgrade existing skills, and at adult learners with knowledge and experience of the machining process looking to make the step up to CNC Programming.
The course provides covers programming skills for 2.5D and 3D machining. Advanced and comprehensive step by step course to gain advanced skills to program 2.5D and 3D parts.
The course is suitable for customers with or looking to acquire hyperMILL CAD/CAM software.
Course Description
- hyperMILL® interface and advanced settings
- Compound and linking jobs to increase efficiency
- Transformations – linear, circular and mirroring
- Tool database – advanced speeds, feeds and usages
- Macro database to automate drilling and pocketing
- Detailed look into optimised roughing and planes
- Complete finishing, equidistance finishing
- Form pocketing, pencil milling
- Clipping and reworking toolpaths
- Shape offset roughing & finishing
- 3D Edge cutting
- 3+2 axis machining, 2D contours using surfaces
- NC events, associative toolpath copies
- Building parametric work holding using mating
- Tricks and Tips with CAD for CAM tools
Who the course is for?
- Knowledge of Windows operating systems
- Creating file folders, copy and paste etc.
- Ideally have completed Part 1 course. If not must have a good understanding of hyperMILL software.
- Knowledge of 2.5D and 3D modeling is an advantage but not essential
- A general understanding of CNC machining is preferred

Face to Face Classroom (Facilitator Led). Each learner will learn through direct use of the provided hyperMILL software during training.
