hyperMill Turning Training

Aim

The course is an advanced CADCAM course aimed at upskilling CADCAM programmers in  using CADCAM technology to program cylindrical parts for manufacture using state of the art CADCAM technology.

The course is suitable for customers with or looking to acquire hyperMILL CAD/CAM software.

Course Description

  • Create turning and stock geometry
  • Creating the turning profile
  • Programming parts using the sub and main spindle
  • How to build turret and capto turning tools
  • Using trochoidal turning technology to reduce cycle times
  • Roughing and finishing turning techniques and cycles for programming the outer profile
  • Toolpath simulation to check against potential tool and machine collisions

Who the course is for?

  • Knowledge of Windows operating systems
  • Creating file folders, copy and paste etc.
  • Ideally have completed Part 1 and part 2 course.  If not must have a very good understanding of hyperMILL software.
  • Knowledge of 2.5D and 3D modeling is an advantage but not essential
  • A general understanding of CNC machining is preferred
