Mastercam Part 1
4-Day Hands-On Training | IMR Mullingar | Beginner to Intermediate Level
Build Essential CNC Programming Skills with Mastercam
Mastercam is the world’s most widely used CAM software and the go-to choice for CNC programmers worldwide. This intensive four-day course is designed to equip participants with the fundamental programming skills required to confidently design, program, and simulate 2D, 2.5D, and basic 3D milling operations.
Through step-by-step instruction and practical exercises, you will learn how to navigate Mastercam’s interface, create and manipulate geometry, apply essential toolpaths, and generate verified NC code. The course also introduces 4-axis positioning and probing workflows, preparing you for more advanced Mastercam modules and real-world machining environments.
Overview
Participants will gain practical programming experience and a structured workflow to take a part from design through to verified NC output. The course covers:- Navigating the Mastercam interface
- Creating and manipulating 2D and 3D geometry
- Programming essential 2D and 2.5D milling toolpaths
- Introduction to basic 3D roughing and finishing toolpaths
- Rotary programming and 4-axis positioning
- Part simulation, probing, and NC code generation
