ESA Phi-Labs Ireland Open Call June 2026 (1)

ESA Phi-Lab Ireland Open Call 2026

How Irish Companies Can Lead Europe's Ambitions in Space

Up to €400K in Funding. No Strings on Equity.

The global space economy is forecast to reach $1.8 trillion (€1.55T) by 2035, and Irish manufacturers need to consider their plans to compete in this new arena now. The ESA Phi-Lab Ireland programme is a highly-competitive, accelerated technology development programme, designed to ensure ambitious Irish companies, whether or not they have ever worked in space before, can build the products and expertise that will define the next decade of this industry in Europe.

ESA Phi-Lab Ireland's latest Open Call for Proposals, Open Call 2026, is now accepting applications and offering up to €400,000 in non-dilutive ESA Innovation Seed Funding. In addition to funding, successful applicants receive considerable supports and networking opportunities, as well as significant complimentary facilities and equipment access.

In this webinar, ESA Phi-Lab Ireland Manager Dr. Rob Conway-Kenny will walk you through the Open Call opportunity, the eligibility criteria, what a strong application looks like, and the four conditions that determine success.

You'll also hear directly from Ubotica Technologies, one of two companies who secured funding in Open Call 2025, who will speak to their journey through the programme so far.

Whether your company works in advanced materials, additive manufacturing, precision engineering, or smart systems, this webinar will show you exactly how to take your first, or next step into the space sector with world-class support from the ESA Phi-Lab Ireland Team.
